florida trip [in pictures] part one

June 2, 2011

The list of the things I want to do is now greater than the list of things I have to do. This is a phenomenon that has not occurred in a very, very long time.

And it feels good. To know that I can relax. Sit back. Sip my glass of wine while I breathe in the scents of the end-of-spring-beginning-of-summer evening breeze and relax.

Such a nice feeling. And I don’t think it would feel as nice if it hadn’t been for the pushing and the driving and all the very hard work that has come before it.

No, I’m not stopping here, but I am slowing down, pulling back for a little while. Or at least trying. It’s really, really hard for me. You see, I’m the kind of person who rewrites their “to do” list multiple times in a day. Just because it doesn’t look neat.

Yes, I know. You don’t have to say it.

So, part of my slowing down, pulling back was taking a trip to the beach. Panama City Beach to be exact. With my mom.

And it was lovely.

  1. Wow. Your very first statement grabbed my attention and is still resonating in the depths of my mind.

“The list of the things I want to do is now greater than the list of things I have to do.”
